Vic Based. Monty Burgess studied acting at The Rehearsal Room in Australia before moving to the UK and training at Identity School of Acting. He has participated in regular workshops at Theatre Royal Haymarket, The Actors Centre and 16th Street with tutors including Les Chantery, Idris Elba, Ivana Chubbuck and Stanley Tucci. Whilst in the UK, Monty undertook knife and broadsword classes with The Academy of Performance Combat. Monty’s theatre credits include Stuart in ‘Blackrock’, James in Mike Bartlett’s ‘Not Talking’ and Sir Robert Cecil in an adaptation of the book ‘Shakespeare’s Rebel’. His television credits include ‘Lee Nelson’s Well Funny People’ for the BBC as well as Australian shows Utopia and Stingers. Films include British independents ‘Knights of the Damned’ and ‘Welcome to Curiosity’.
