She also has a very particular set of multi-hyphenate skills...in writing and story development. Skills acquired over her emerging career. 2013 acting graduate from ACA (Actors Centre Australia) and has a Masters of Screenwriting at the Australian Film, Television & Radio School (AFTRS 2021). Danielle recently wrote/lead acted in her short film GORGO directed by Ven Gialouris, produced by Katie Amos (Made Up Stories). Gorgo is currently selected in the running for 2024 AACTA Best Short Film. It was also selected for its North American Premiere at SBIFF24 Santa Barbara International Film Festival amongst Oscar nominated films. Gorgo had its Australian premiere at the Academy/BAFTA qualifying 2024 'Flickerfest Film Festival' and WINNER for Best Original Music in a Short Film, recently screened and nominated at St Kilda Film Festival 2024 and its International Premiere in Saint Tropez at the the 2023 Antipodes Film Festival. Other credits include: Linda Nicholls-Gidley’s 2023 new Australian play Ladybird Ladybird at Flightpath directed by Anthony Skuse, Love Child Season 4 (Channel 9), Halal Gurls (ABCiview) and award winning Youtube murder comedy web series Sydney Sleuthers. Danielle received a 'Best Ensemble Cast' Sydney Theatre Award nomination for Patricia Cornelius' play SLUT, co-produced with her theatre company Edgeware Forum. Danielle is currently developing her original supernatural cringe comedy web series - CURSE OF THE VIRGIN - directed by Grace Tan (SBS/Cannes series' Appetite) and received 2024 story development funding by Online at Screen Australia. She also is writing on her first feature film commissioned by Powerhouse Parramatta called In The Room with Co Curious (Here Out West) and four co-writers. Danielle's original gothic comedy Furies was selected for Co Curious/Netflix Creative Equity Fund initiative, completed a Development Intern placement at LINGO PICTURES with Screen Australia’s 2019 Developing the Developer, Scripted Ink’s 2022 Writers’ Internship with STUDIOCANAL, co-writer on HALAL GURLS (ABCiview), Producer’s Attachment (Development) on AACTA nominated HERE OUT WEST. Danielle also really loves to help other creators in story development and is often consulted to collaborate on story. She is the Creative Developer for Screen Australia feature funded PANOS, PANNOS & GEORGE and in other script department roles, was Script Coordinator SBS/ARCADIA queer revisionist dramedy WHILE THE MEN ARE AWAY and Script Coordinator on THE LETDOWN (S1) on ABC/NETFLIX.
