Burgess Abernethy

Burgess Abernethy is an Australian born actor, screenwriter and playwright. He started acting from a very young age. Working on various international productions in his home town of the Gold Coast and having gained direct industry exposure through his producer parents, Burgess developed and honed his craft working on set in various productions. After high school he enrolled to study Acting at the University of Southern Queensland. Study was interrupted when he was cast as a series regular in an international renowned children's drama that was commissioned for three seasons. Burgess has since been cast in numerous Australian dramas playing major character roles while steadily enjoying international recognition from both his peers and fans, As well as acting and writing, Burgess has gone on to direct two short films, both of which have screened at national and international festivals.
