Barbara Hastings has worked in film, TV and theatre worldwide since the age of five. After earning a BA in Theatre Arts from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California (her hometown), Barbara then went on to earn an MFA in Acting/Directing from the University of Arizona. Feature film credits include Brooke in BLUE WORLD ORDER (Fullpoint Films, 2016/2017 release), Dr. Laura Watkins in TERMINUS (Stormvision, 2016), Kat’s Mom in OUT OF THE SHADOWS (Bronte Pictures, 2017), Margaret in ON HALLOWEEN (Boiling Point Films, 2019), and Janine in CHRISTMAS DOWN UNDER (Ignite Pictures, currently in production). Online work includes Tony Redhorse in Traffic Jam (SketchShe/Shae-Lee Shackleford, 2016), June in American in Oz (Charcoal Pictures, 2018), Ophelia Cox in MRS. COX’S LIFE HACKS (2016). TV work includes lead roles in 2 episodes of Deadly Women and guest role in an upcoming TV drama (TBA). Stage work includes Mrs. Bumble in OLIVER! (Riverside Theatre, Parramatta), Pearl Barley in A NASTY PIECE OF WORK (New Theatre, Newtown), Gabbi/Bobbi in CITY OF ANGELS (Landor Theatre, Clapham, London), Hope in ANYTHING GOES (Bloomsbury Theatre, London), Laura Dubya in the MADNESS OF GEORGE DUBYA TRILOGY (Charing Cross Theatre, London), Titania/Hippolyta in A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM (Porter Theatre, Santa Barbara, California, USA), and Hermione in THE WINTER’S TALE (Arizona Repertory Theatre, Tucson, Arizona, USA). Barbara originally trained as an opera singer, but subsequently got drawn into the fun of musical theatre and acting. Barbara now resides with her Aussie husband, two daughters, and two hypo-allergenic cats in Sydney, Australia, but still loves to go back to the US for work.
